Saché working as a Mechanic for the Nabooan Resistance
Nicholas K, Fall 2013

What If… Queen Amidala and her handmaidens were able to escape the Trade Federation during Fall of Theed because of the sacrifice of Captain Panaka and some of his men. But they’re unable to leave the planet not do they meet up with the Jedi (who weren’t able to get of the ship) instead they meet a clumsy Gungan named Jar Jar Binks and thus the first seed of rebellion are sown.

Months later the Gungans and the Naboo are working together to free their planet from the Trade federation but while the Gungans face the droid armies head on, the rely on other methods then open warfare. And so the Handmaidens spy, sabotage and even succeed in assassinating a high ranking Nemodian or two all the while hoping that one day Naboo will be theirs again…

Saché lowered her goggles as she began repairing the swoop bikes Eirtaé and Rabé had used on their last supply run, unfortunately however the two had run into a battalion of battle droids near Moenia that been searching for the rebellion in the Lianorm Swamp near Lake Paonga, on the way back to Delta Base. Rabé’s bike in particular had taken some hits including a damaged fuel tank, it was miracle she made it back to base.

Still the entire base knew they’d been had been lucky to hadn’t been discovered, Saché mused as she began patching up the vehicle’s fuel line. The Trade Federation might view Moenia as little more than an artist’s retreat, virtually ignored all activity in the city, never realizing that a small but influential group of political idealists sympathetic to the Nabooan Resistance had formed within the city walls. All because publicly Moenia’s leadership supported the Federation, as long they were left alone, while surreptitiously funding various underground activities, welcomed refugees from towns and cities, and arranged meetings between the leaders of various rebel cells. The peaceful residents of Moenia might take up arms against the Federation, their underground support was a most valuable asset.
