✫ Governor Padmé Amidala on Queen Soruna Advisory Council

What If… Anakin Skywalker decides to resign from Jedi Order, although he refuses to tell the council why, after Padmé tells him she pregnant. After Anakin dreams about Padmé dying while giving birth, he convinces her to leave early for Naboo where they tell her family about their clandestine marriage. Unknowingly because the couple wasn’t on Coruscant, they thwarted Palpatine’s plans for Anakin and prevailed him from turning to the dark side. Nor was Anakin present when the Jedi confronted when Mace Windu killed Sidious. Next two decades or so Anakin and Padmé try raise to their children all the while the Republic is falling apart and wars break out around them…

Padmé glanced at Queen Soruna as Pooja’s hologram announced that the Senate would disband, she didn’t envy the younger woman for the position she was now. The collapse of the Republic would made Padmé’s own dealings with the Trade Federation look like a walk in the park.

 “Governor Amidala.”  Queen Soruna acknowledged with a nod of her head.

Padmé Amidala had known Sosha Soruna for years, long before the girl had been elected as Queen or even Princess of Theed. To her it seemed only yesterday that Leia and Sosha met at the Apprentice Legislature program. Since they had been almost inseparable, one would rarely see one without the other. They’d become Apprentice Legislators at same time, she could clearly remember how the girls had been both best friends and fierce rivals. Now her daughter was part of Naboo Senatorial Delegation as Junior Representative and while Sosha was the elected Queen of Naboo.

“Your majesty.”

In A Different Life… Padmé Amidala in the Arena on Geonosis

In a galaxy far, far away but in a different life… Padmé is a latent force adept and Palpatine is first person who realizes it when he meets the then Princess of Theed for the first time. He starts to wonder of perhaps a secondary apprentice, one who not only understands but appreciates the subtle arts of politics. More then a decade later later Padmé Amidala skillfully uses the Force to manipulate everyone around her.

An art she has perfected, to the point Sidious has no choice to acknowledge that her skill surpasses his own, even if he would never voice it. He does however acknowledge that her talent for manipulation makes her the perfect choice to tempt the Chosen One to the Dark Side. If only Sidious realized that his apprentice might be Anakin Skywalker seducing for her own purposes.

In A Different Life… Padmé Skywalker meeting the future Rogue One ❂

In a galaxy far, far away but in a different life… Anakin Skywalker refuses to join Darth Sidious and dies protecting the younglings in the council chamber during the storming of the Jedi Temple. Raising their children by herself, Padmé cannot help but feel that the Jedi are partly responsible for her husband’s  death and entrusts Ahsoka Tano with the training of her children in the ways of the Force. Years base, at a meeting of the Alliance Cabinet about how the Rebellion should deal with the Death Star, she meets the future Rogue One. Not for the first time, Padmé find herself in disagreement with her fellow council members about the destructive weapon, the Alliance having no chance of stealing the plans and that the word of Jyn Erso being not enough to take such a risk. Even after Jyn’s speech does not to sway all the council members, the chances were too great and no action could be taken. Padmé decides she will help any way she can.
