They called them the Final Six, because they got called in only as a last resort, for the most desperate and dangerous situations. After their wand woods, they were called Elder, Elm, Blackthorn, Redwood, Acacia, and Yew, and every one of them was beautiful and every one of them knew it. They used it to their advantage–it was every auror’s greatest hope and fear to draw their attention. When they departed, still impeccably dressed, to the corners of the world from whence they came–Iceland, France, Egypt, Yemen, Wales, Argentina–they left an awed and fearful crowd behind. They were hunters, liars, warriors, all them, but most of all, they were the best and they were ruthless.

Dama Queima Ferreira, one of the pureblood elite of Portugal, in her Sunday robes. The Ferreira family, with Queima at its head, controls through money and political connection at least three branches of the Portuguese Ministry in entirety. But given Wizarding Portugal’s financial success in the past decade while half of Wizarding Europe has been in chaos, no one is complaining about the way the Dama Ferreira is running things.

A clandestine meeting of two of the black market’s most powerful and rival potioneers, known respectively as Rizpah and The Tsarina, near Bacchan Alley. While Ministry surveillance proved almost useless against the two witches due to defensive measures such as frequent use of Polyjuice potion, the Polyjuice on the bodyguard of one the potioneers believed to be the Tsarina had begun to wear off when this photo was taken, revealing Delilah Maxwell, Ministry Hitwitch (shown left). Maxwell was killed before she could be interrogated due to loss of contact with ring that had been poisoned with a highly addictive potion. The ring was forcibly removed during Maxwell’s capture, causing withdrawal that was  nearly immediate, totally without remedy, and after twenty-two hours, deadly.

Portrait of a young Ruth Conway, philanthropist and political rights activist who later became Minister for Magic. While Conway left behind groundbreaking legislation regarding the treatment of Goblins and wix with non-human lineage (i.e. Veela), she also left behind the Conway Trust for the Arts, the largest source of funding for arts programs, galleries, and restoration in the wixen UK. The Conway Trust also provides thousands of Galleons annually for Hogwarts School for the restoration and care of its massive art collection, especially with the damage sustained during the Second Wizarding War.
