“So the good news is, we’re alive.”
“And the bad news?”
“We’re trapped inside a book.”
“What.”
“IF ANYONE IS READING THIS PLEASE SEND HELP!!”
“I doubt that’s going to work. Besides, who would want to read about you.”

The lights flickered once, twice, three times, then darkness. I felt a biting cold crawl up my back. Not like this. It can’t happen like this.
Writing Prompt #234: Dialogue
“Trust me, I know what I’m doing”
“That’s a lie and we both know it”

Any pirate prompts? Like where a woman is a cptain
1) “What is this crap? It’s bad luck to have a woman on board.”
The captain feigned horror. “Oh god, you should have said so. I would never have forced you to suffer such a thing if I knew!” She looked to her crew and smiled. “Toss the poor bastard into the sea so he’s not tainted by femininity.”
2) “I was captured by these awful pirates,” she sobbed to the navy crew. Thinking fast – not about to lose this battle, or let her crew be hanged.
“It’s alright,” the naval captain said. He wrapped an arm around her. “You’re safe now. They’re never going to hurt you again.”
Suffice to say, she dined with the captain, nicked his keys, slit the crew’s throats while they were sleeping, and took the ship for her fleet. All in a day’s work.
3) “You can’t be a pirate!” The lord’s daughter said in horror. “You saved me!”
“Darling,” she sauntered across her deck. “I acquired you. If you want to go back, I’ll ransom you for a pretty price. If you don’t-” she turned and raised her brows. “Change and welcome to the crew. You can start by scrubbing the deck.”
PS: The majority of my prompts are gender neutral, if you want more pirate prompts!
Prompt #423
He stopped. He was cornered. Slowly, he turned to face his chaser. The man hadn’t even slowed. A new look of horrifying victory filled his eyes as he hungrily looked at his victim.
The man closed his eyes tightly. This was the end.
But just as the man wrapped his big, strong fingers around his neck, he woke up in a cold sweat… in bed. He stared around his room… and his eyes stopped when he saw a face staring in at him from his window. The face matched the man from his dream.
Hi! Love this blog haha Anyway do you have any prompts for a group of friends in the woods at night but they feel like they are being followed/watched. Thanks
1) “Somebody’s watching us.”
“Nobody’s watching us, stop saying that!”
“You can feel it too or you wouldn’t be snapping at me!”
They ended up glaring at each other – as if that helped anything. The protagonist swallowed and rubbed their eyes, squinting through the trees for any signs of life. “If this is some kind of a joke, I’m never speaking to any of you again.”
2) “Did you just scream…over a leaf?”
“I thought I saw something.” Or, rather, that something saw them, but they didn’t know how to describe it. Being seen so clearly that it pierced through them, assessed them, and left them stripped to the bone.
“Maybe it’s the Blair Witch.”
“Oh, shut the fuck up.”
The swearing gave their friend paused, studying the protagonist. “You’re really scared, aren’t you?”
It was the first time they’d asked seriously. The protagonist swallowed, and nodded.
3) “Maybe we should go see what it is.”
“Are you goddamn crazy? Go to sleep. We’re not leaving this tent unless you want to die.” And if there were strange shadows looming on the edges of the canvas, flickering in the torchlight, well they were trees. They refused to let it be anything else.
